Param Bir Chakra: It is the highest bravery award. It is given for the most conspicuous bravery or some daring or prominent act of valor. It is also given for self-sacrifice shown in the presence of the enemy at sea, on land and in the air. Indian Military Decorations
Mahabir Chakra: It is the second-highest award of bravery and is given for conspicuous gallantry in the presence of the enemy at sea, on land, and in the air.
Ashok Chakra: It is given for the act of gallantry. Class I is given for the most conspicuous gallantry and bravery or some daring or prominent act of self-sacrifice. Class II is given for conspicuous gallantry and Class III for gallantry. Indian Military Decorations
Vir Chakra: It is the highest award for bravery. It is given for the act of gallantry in the presence of the enemy at sea, on land, and in the air.
Vishit Seva Medal: It is given to the armed forces. It is awarded in the form of Class-I, Class II, and Class-III in order to distinguish the ‘most exceptional’, ‘exceptional’ and ‘highest’ order or service respectively. Indian Military Decorations
Jeewan Raksha Padak: It is given for brave act displayed in saving a life from fire, drowning, etc.
