Power and Functions of the Governor of an Indian State
(a) He appoints the Chief Minister and other ministers on the advice of the Chief Minister.
(b) All executive actions of the state are taken in his name.
(c) He can summon, prorogue and dissolve the State Legislature.
(d) No Bill can become law without his assent.
(e) A Money Bill can not be introduced and demand for a grant can not be moved without his recommendation.
(f) He has the power to grant pardons, reprieves or remission of the punishment of any person convicted of the offence. 0 0 0
